Devotion:
You may hear evolutionists say “I cannot understand how people can believe in something like the world being created in 6 days”. You will also hear Christians say “I cannot believe how people can ignore the truth that is in the bible and think that we somehow evolved from a single cell”. But very rarely do you hear a good argument between the two because each seems to be afraid of facing up to the other – just in case they are proven wrong.

We all put our belief in something, whether it be evolution or God; we all have an inherent need to believe in something. If we go searching for long enough, then we will find out the truth – but far too many give up at the first hurdle and go with the answer that is simpler at that time. From then on, they are fixed into that strain or path of belief because they do not want to venture out and find a better path. Call it lazy or call is “playing it safe”; it does not matter what it’s called until it comes time to face up to what we have done in our lives…
I firmly believe that Christ is the Creator of time as we know it. I firmly believe that He is responsible for creating everything that we know. Whilst there may well be many questions that I still want to find out, I cannot believe in the long-shot that is evolution. The probability of life beginning, even in the right environment, is so astronomical that I would not be able to type the number on this page that I am constructing… We need to get more into our bibles and find out just how much God has done for us, how much He continues to do for us, and how much He has promised for us in our futures.
Through Him I have hope. In Him I have faith. By Him, I live!
