Devotion:
Have you ever wanted to be a bit taller or even a bit shorter? Well, no matter how hard you think, worry or wish it, you cannot make yourself grow or shrink on demand; there are some things in life that we have to accept. God has made us the way that we are and He did that for a reason! Don’t ever think that maybe you will never find the right partner just because you don’t look the way you want to. Don’t think that you are over the hill. Don’t think that you are too young. God uses us it ways that we don’t know and He uses us when the time is right.

His plan for our lives is beyond our comprehension and to that extent we need to accept what He has in store for us. There is no problem with letting God know how you feel – that is what a relationship with Christ should be about. God allows us to continue on in our walks in life in ways that we cannot understand because He has something or someone very special for each of us in our lives. If you are willing to listen intently to Him then He will be able to guide you in the best possible way to achieve the most for Him – that is where many of our problems are because we want to short-cut His will or we think we know better!

We do need to stop and take note of the glorious things that God gives us in our lives. We do need to stop look and listen for what He has in store for us. Sometimes we are not going to like the way that things happen because we can see what we think is an easier or more fun way of achieving a goal; but He is the one in charge. He is our Heavenly Father. He is God! As we get ready for a new year start to think about all the great things you can do for Him this year as He has done so much for you in the past years. Change your life now and listen to God!

Points to Ponder:
Do you wish you were different?

Do you know why God made you the way you are?
