23 The steps of a good man are ordered by Jehovah; and He delights in his way.
Devotion:
One thing you can be certain of is that Christ is going to look after His own people. Anyone who calls on the name of Christ as Lord and Saviour and believes in their heart that He rose again is one of His; and His forever. Christ will continue to lead such people who are willing to listen. He will continue to bless those that are willing to accept. He will continue to teach those who are willing to learn. God is faithful and just and will not go back on those promises!
This does not mean that good people will not fall down and be hurt because we all have our moments and we are all caught up in the world that we walk in; sometimes we get hurt when those around us get hurt. Sometimes we fall when those around are still walking. But every time that we do fall we have a God that is standing ready to pick us up and to carry us forward until we are able to walk with Him again. The longer we live the more that we see this happen in life; something that we don’t admit to when we are young because that would mean giving in to something! But Christ wants us to not only know that He is capable and willing, but that He is always there!
When people turn to God He will not turn away from them. When people call out for help in belief, He is there to pick them up and carry them. When we call on our God, He is willing, able and just to answer our prayers to the uttermost. So now is the time to lift up those prayers to our God. Now is the time to fully trust in Him and His name. Now is the time to realise what God can do for you when you give what already belongs to Him back to Him. God is waiting patiently for all of us to know Him. God is waiting patiently for all of us to depend on Him. God is waiting patiently to bless each and every one of us just because we love Him back.
Points to Ponder:
Is there anyone special in your life?
How special is Jesus in your life?
